Klos Building
The rehabilitation of the Klos Building transformed one of the oldest buildings in downtown Billings into a state-of-the-art, high-performance architectural studio. The extensive renovation project replaced historic features that had been lost due to years of neglect and contributes to the ongoing revitalization of the surrounding neighborhood. While remaining sensitive to the building’s historic 1893 character, the renovation also incorporated several sustainable design and energy-saving strategies. The project has qualified for the 10% Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit and has received LEED® Platinum certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
