Swift Building
The rehabilitation of the Swift Building achieved three primary goals: 1) create residential apartments in downtown Billings, including a new custom residence for themselves; 2) restore the historic character of the handsome early 20th century warehouse; and 3) incorporate sustainable building strategies to create a highly energy efficient and environmentally responsible project. The project is particularly unique in that it is on track to receive the highest certifications in historic preservation and sustainable design, which will recognize the project as an exceptional example of both. The project has already received LEED® for Homes “Platinum” green building certification from the United States Green Building Council and is on track to be a Certified Historic Tax Credit Rehabilitation.
